It's 9:00 am and you are still asleep. I have been awake for a while now, still I can't move an inch away from you. My arms are positioned next to your body, while I keep on looking at you and smiling. You look so peaceful, so calm, that when I move a little closer, I'm afraid it will wake you. But you keep on dreaming. That's when I move my hand near your face and start touching your cheeks. Then, I get a little closer and press my lips gently over yours. You open your eyes and smile, which makes me slightly blush. Then, you embrace me and close your eyes again, and all I can hear are your heartbeats and your breathing. It makes me feel like I'm home.

It's not I've never felt something like that before. I think it's normal for all of us to feel "home" when we start seeing someone. It's all part of falling in love. I used to think it was a trap, but then you came along. I was so confused by you, that, as I tried to "solve" the puzzle that was our relationship, I ended up growing closer and closer to you. Next thing I knew, you were part of me. The "honeymoon" stage has never lasted this long with me, and I don't want the feeling to go away. I wanna wake up every day and still think (and feel) as I did this weekend: wishing I could wake up every day to your beautiful smile.

Love lasts as long as both of you are willing to fight for it, and let me tell you something: when it comes to you, I plan to fight everyday for as long as I shall live. After all, you complete me. You are home.

"Another year over, but we still together". With every new year, comes a chance for us to renovate and become whoever we want to be. That what I love most about new year's. This year, to start it up right, I (finally) changed the blog's layout, and also created my side project (Mi Chiamo Moda). And I know, I know. People are supposed to post their resolutions and what not before the year starts, but I was traveling. Anyway, let's get to the good part.

2011, I thought we had an agreement. You would take things slowly, and I would enjoy the moment. You broke your part of the agreement, but I didn't break mine. 2011 really was a great year for me. So many things changed for me, and even I, as a person, changed too. Started the year in Brazil with my family and friends (so I guess you could say that I started it with BANG!), and then later, in March/April, went to Italy with my italian class. That was, indeed, a trip and I will never forget all the memories shared and the friends I made (ma come mi manchiii!!!). Graduated High School (even when I thought that was impossible), went to Brazil again, and then decided to not go to Arizona State University (the reasons behind my decision would be too long to fit here, so I'll save that to some other time). Came back to Brazil, where I met amazing people that I want to cherish for as long as I can. Went to Rock in Rio (YES!). Some people got it my life, while others left. I grew as a person and learned to not take things for granted (how cliche of me, I know). Friendships were tested, and feelings started to "blossom." But even with its ups and downs, 2011 was a great year. One of the bests so far.

2012:

The goals:

I'm proud to announce that I was able to achieve at least 3 of my least year's goals. I did become healthier (although I did not lose the weight I wanted), I did get more than a 23 on the ACT, and I sure was happy. Now, let's see if I can accomplish this year's goals...

Dear Santa,

I know that I'm a little late. You have already come and gone, and by now you are probably sitting on your chair, reading your newspaper while waiting for Mama Clause to serve you some nice big dinner, and receiving a good foot massage from one of your elfs.

I haven't written to you in a while. I think I was nine last time we spoke, so I think you don't remember me very well. I was that weird looking little brazilian girl who wanted disc mans, bratz dolls, and those toys that most kids want. Not enough descriptions? How about that one time I wrote to you wanting some 90's Barbie doll and asked you too please help my mom and father in case they needed (although at that point, I didn't know they needed anything. I just wanted them to be happy). Remember now? Yeah, it's me. I know I grew up, and I'm not supposed to write to you anymore, but I'm still a kid inside.

Sir, all I want for christmas this year is to have a nice end of the year. The year is almost over (1 week!!!), and soon it will be 2012. All I'm asking is for an end of the year perfect, as perfect as 2011 was for me. Do you think you could do that for me? Just one week of pure bliss to help end this wonderful wonderful year. I've been a very good girl this year (well.. most of the time), so I'm counting on you. I know you won't let me down :)
